The people of a stunned nation once again endure the pain, suffering, and deaths of innocent people perpetrated by a criminal, a monster, a murderer. Once again, the people of this nation mourn, pray and think about the victims and their families trying to understand why these terrible events occur. My family joins the nation in prayer for the people of Parkland, Florida.
With those prayers, I add my voice to those calling for action. We need to do all we can to stop these events from occurring while building a strong defense in our schools to protect school children.
What we can do:
My heart and prayers go out to the victims and families of those murdered and maimed by this terrible criminal act in Orlando. My thoughts and prayers go out to the members of law enforcement and emergency services who are also dealing with this terrible tragedy today.
No labels. No blame. We are Americans: our brothers and sisters, our moms and dads, our sons and daughters, our friends and our citizens were brutally killed and maimed by a criminal and murderer. We are a country and society who abhor these violent actions. We want to place blame, we want to find solutions.
But we can't just point fingers in every imaginable direction. The blame rests solely on that murderer and criminal. He is responsible. We can only find solutions by uniting as Americans. By loving each other as citizens. By uniting our prayers to almighty God for strength, compassion, guidance, love and caring.
